I considered using rope on mine. I did a rope install the rear slider in my Dakota. It worked slick!
I chose not to go with rope on the dart, that rear window has some mean points on the lower, and it is not easy getting around there let alone room inside near the package tray.
After I found out how easy it was to do it the way I described from the outside..... I didn't even bother considering rope for the front glass. piece of cake!
