I have four magnums in vehicles and so far have never blown the plenum gasket.
I did buy one of those aluminum plates from one of the guys here on Fabo just in case I should need one in the future.
I have three spare intakes in the barn for the magnums. My plan is to modify one and install the aluminum plate on it. Then if I had one blow a gasket I'll just switch intakes.
