Pics are of a '65 Barracuda that's for sale on facebook marketplace.

This has to be the biggest, weirdest, aftermarket A/C unit I've ever seen.
Anyone know anything about it?

Looks to be aftermarket "ARA" unit, use to install a few of those, does it have a York compressor on the engine?
 
I don't think that's an AC I think that is a evap cooler "swamp cooler"
 
You know that it may...be. I think it would be easy to tell, got to be a place to add water......

Oh..........maw............Gauwad..........conjurs up memories of the family's '54 Nash Ambassador "back in the day." We did not have the cooler, but the car was a good likeness

Reminds me of a Montgomery Wards unit that came in a used up truck I had. Combined with a half-assed installer, it is the absolutely best way I know of to make a huge electrical rats nest of a mess to have to dig through and straighten out...
