Super Victor fun!

Thought this might be informative to some poor guy who buys a Super Victor with lovely thoughts of just bolting it on.

This one is, I think my fifth. 2nd one for me and I did 3 for friends. This one is very typical of what ya get.

I posted a pic of my "porting station". It keeps the aluminum somewhat contained.

As you can see in the 2 pics of the port pairs, you have no choice but to grind away. Those 2 pics are upside down, passenger side.
Slide it forward and you lose port #4, slide it back and you lose #6.

There's also a full shot of the driver's side as is, out of the box. Pretty much the same thing.
It's certainly not a "head issue" either. Mine are ported Eddy's, I've done one for Indy/RHS, and one for a pair of very mildly ported J heads....also one for some Hughes Edelbrocks.

It's a shame they are so damn far off......doesn't anyone at Edelbrock do research on their stuff? Maybe I'm just unlucky or something.

The last pic is a completed shot. That little pile of aluminum doesn't include all the chips my shop vac got.
It ain't pretty or perfect but it will make power. In spite of all the work, I really love the Super Victor. From 4500 to 7 grand they pull like a freight train.

I've run the Airgap, last summer the Victor 340 and the S Victor, and for a fact, at least with my stuff , it ain't even close.

Very typical, I hate edelbrock ****, because that's what it is....over priced ****.

340 Victors are not far from the super when it comes to fkd up port windows "as cast".
