I have a problem with my 09 Ram 1500 4x4 hemi....my low beam headlight on left side does not work..I replaced the bulb with a new one and still not working,(high beam does work).I checked all fuses and they are good so I replaced the bulb again with the good one from rt side.still not working........Looking on the ram forums this seems to be a common problem.they say the ecm is bad and about $800.00..I cant pay this for something when I don't know if it will fix the problem. The truck runs and drives great. .....Any suggestions ? THANKS.....................................jeff

Mine went all funky on my 03, I lost more than just one headlight, it was a combination headlight, tail light and marker lights. Turns out it was the fuse box itself.

The TIPM (under hood fuse box) goes bad in a lot of those Rams, but to be sure a little troubleshooting is in order. See if you're missing either the power or ground, most likely power since the hi beam works. trace the wire back to the TIPM to make sure it isn't broken somewhere between the light and the connection to the TIPM, Chrysler products have a high probability of a rotten wire right at the connection in the plug.

Had a problem similar to that on my dad's 04 Dakota only it was the tail light, right signal didn't work. Came to find the pigtail socket had gotten hot and turned black and lost continunity. Had to replace the pigtail to fix it.

My wife's Sorrento did the same thing. Her low beam went out. I replaced the pigtail and it's been fine since.

Worst comes to worst run a wire from the good side.

Nailed it. See this all the time. The TIPM stand for Totally Integrated Power Module. It's not just a fuse box it is a computer. Troublesome little buggers that's for sure.

Thanks for all your replys, ill check the wiring to the TIPM when I get off work Friday.....I did think about running wire from good side.saw this on ram forum also, but didn't want ti "RIG" it................................thanks again.....................jeff

Rigging it might tell you if its the wire or the socket. You can troubleshoot from there.

Ok so you need a scanner , the body control module will have a code in it you will half to clear that first then your head light will work , I know sounds dumb but done it lots stupid system. Don’t farmer brown the wiring harness please.

Its also fused if i recall. If you jump it from other side, add a relay.
