That's part of the beauty of metal casting. If it drops a turd out of the mold, you just toss it back into the furnace. Most won't try to save poor castings unless there have been value add operations (cleaning, machining, etc.) performed on a piece. They must have a pretty crappy process for units with that much shift going out.
