I hope to find a 4X2 one of that year or close (5 lug) in a plain Jane sport with a manual and once I get a handle back on life (I used to have one, but I broke it so many times, it’s worn down to a nub). I used to want a big block A body, but now it’s Dakota.

I see you are in Southwest Va. What part? The truck was purchased new by my brother in Southern WV. (Beckley). I am in NVa. (manassas)
The 5 bolt truck are 87-90. I put a 8.8 rearend with disc brakes under it, and have changed out the NV2500 trans for a NV3500...
Im looking for a 5.9 magnum to put in it.

Anyone here ever own a Top Hand? I know someone that bought a '79 quad headlight model off the showroom floor. The ranch hand 4WD edition of the LRT, it had an E58 360. He said that was one of the strongest running new vehicles he'd ever bought.

My 92 D150 ordered it brand new 27 years ago this past Monday ( Presidents Day)

Wise county, on the Ky border and an hour from Sullivan County, Tn. of Eastman and Nat Geo TV "Southern Justice" fame. We are actually farther west of West Va, or West By God Virginia as some say. I will Pm you later after I talk to my truck friend, I think he's got a 5.9 core he'd let go of for pretty reasonable if your interested.

View attachment 1715292508 Thanks Rainy you are correct as most of us have trucks as well! We have three of them. Wife won't let me paint hers Sublime tho! I have been looking for a Warlock but hard to find one reasonable. Hers is the red one, she calls it Brandywine. A little redneck engineering on the portable K frame and motor I sold to a neighbor! Drove it right down the road! Who says ya can't tow a cherry picker!

I put a 3 point hitch on my cherry picker. I’m sure the kubota would do wheel stands with all that on the picker.

Dakota purchased new, special order from Dodge dealer by Dad in 1996 (mine now). It is a 5-speed, 3.9L, 4X4 with 285,000 miles now. Imported to Mexico about 5 years ago. Had to replace both doors because hinge welds cracked/broke.

wife's truck. 5.7 auto, 3.90 gears. Fun little truck. She drove it for 12 years (less than 100k miles) still like new when she traded it after 12 years..

Bought this last fall to replace the old Rammy as my plow truck. 360 fuel injected cubic inches of Mopar awesomeness! It plows like a scalded dog!

I am thankful this thread is here, I’ll post some pics of my friends two projects. The raw epitome of heavy duty and truck.

This is the one I just sold. W300 - 400, 4 speed, 4X4 dually. It is still in my shop, but the new owner will be picking it up in a week or two. Kind of miss it already and it's not even gone!

Good luck filling the emptiness when it's gone, these trucks take part of you with them when they leave.

This was my buddy's '65 A100, 360, 4-bbl, 727 automatic, manual steering & drum brakes. 3.55:1 sure-grip 8 3/4":

I believe he sold it to a gentleman in Oklahoma, in 2016, when he bought his '63 Dodge 330.
