Mike going to re-spray my air cleaner with the wrinkle paint. I didn't like how it turned out.
Talking with an old MOPAR guy yesterday. He said the secret was to bake it at 250 for five minutes in between coats and then for 20 after the last coat.
Said the process makes the wrinkle paint stand up and hold.
Wife is gone to her Mom's this weekend think I'll give it a try.

Got that mopar ecu tester in yesterday pretty cool. Think I got it working. Definitely says the ecu's I have are bad, just need a good one now!

Ray went and visited my wrench yesterday. Said I should of put electronic ignition on the re-built distributor. Thinks I'll all sorts of problems just running points. He's the first to say that. Think with all the electronic stuff nowadays he's just gotten soft!!

Ya I remembered that's what'd you said. Plus I have the extra set of points you threw in.
We've know each other a long time. Told him he'd just have to use his brain and not a computer to work on the Barracuda...haha.

Only real Issue I have with electronic is when it fails it usually fails hard. A lot of heat related failures that will drive you crazy since half the time it cools and works again!

Maybe its his little head doin all the thinkin...

If my engine came with a points distributor, i’d run it. Less wiring, and simple.

I was looking for a dual point one for a customer. Actually saw one on Amazon for 28. Thought it was a wrong listing. Pulled the trigger, Brand new usually around 140! Score!

Have to diagnose the alternator on the van, hope its not the pcm.
Then i will have to put in an external regulator.
Done it a couple times, other than a check engine light it works great.
