After spending some more quality time with the 74 dodge dart sport ( same as my first brand new car ) my thoughts of selling it or trading it have past ...What was I thinking ? Kinda crazy how this one car can mean so much to me after all the cars I have owned before and since 1974...Have a 2016 Dodge Caravan ,just a great Van ....What is it about these Mopars ?

Have a 360 from a 78 motor home 2 barrel, also a 1985 318 police pursuit, had it bored .30, had the 360 heads it came with done along with the 4 barrel intake....I believe it should scoot with either , as you know very light,

I know the feeling. Something needs to go to make room for other projects. Almost sold my Shelby Dakota. I bought it new. Had 2 people ready to come get it. 1 of them told me to really think about it before I let it go. So I decided to keep it and I'll be selling the 69 Fury ragtop soon, instead. And yes, I've thought long and hard on it. The land yacht will be going out to sea.

I loved my 74 360-A833, but it wasn't as light as I thought. The hoodscoop, the huge Cragars, with Ls or Ns (can't remember at this exact moment, and the beak really weighed her down. But I was only 165# at the time, so the performance wasn't all thaaaat bad, lol.
I bought that beak-car in late 76 I think, for $2200C. All done up and race-ready, new paint even. A shiny red of course, with a hot 360 under the hood. I sold it when the first baby was on the way ...... for $2000, in early 1980 or late 79....... Having pre-sold the monster wheels and airshocks, and driven it thru 3 winters and at least 3 summers. That car was a good investment, lol. And was in perfect condition, probably the only car I ever didn't put my stamp on.
I hope you get to enjoy yours likewise.

Geez oh man, I go out and have coffee with it ...Makes me feel like I am 20 years old again, when I bought the new one

1955 buick special riviera

1966 oldsmobile 98 425 rocket

1972 buick skylark 350

1966 Coronet 440 318

1967 Coronet 440 318

1970 Super Bee

1973 Challenger Rallye 318

1986 Daytona Shelby turbo Z

1973 Duster high option 318 car with built 360

OK, all except the 1985 chevy s-10 151, that was a horrible piece of crap.

It just flashes on the screen for a moment then disappears when pasting.
It shouldn't but you may have to select a photo from your photo files. Phone or computer both work about the same.

They just work and feel good. They do everything well. Jump in and drive 1,500 miles, since I was 16. No problems.

I had a 74 dart sport 360, traded it off about a year and a half ago. I liked the fold down rear seat. I didn't think I'd miss it after getting a Demon but I do. It was also a j54 scoop car.

Funny how we get attached to an inanimate object, just a hunk of steel and plastic! I have owned many Mopars since mid 80's but so strange how I would get attached to one and not another. Had nothing to do with whether it was a "rare" good desirable model or just a mundane model!!

Agree. Sometimes its only collectible to us.

Do you have any pictures or other info of the red car you had?
I picked up one that sounds similar to the one that you had about 20 years ago in a Southern Alberta junk yard.
Red 360 4 speed '74 Dart Sport with a parchment interior.
I still have it BTW.
P.M. me if you would like.

And to the O.P., yes it is a disease, why do you think i built the green Dart Sport in my build thread instead of the real 360 4 speed car i just mentioned?
It's all about the car itself...........I was more in love with the green one for some reason...........

I'm with you on that. But unfortunately my 1/2 acre lot would look like a used jammed up used car lot. And my wife wouldn't be very happy. But, there sure are several I would kill to have back.
