1st Gen Dodge Cummins Are Over Priced

Neighbor of mine had a 12v '92 auto with 4wd and he babied the hell out of that thing. Somehow managed to never get a scratch on it despite the fact that he mainly used it to carry a camper and go hunting/camping/fishing. After he passed away the truck only had about 35k miles, sold for $29,000ish on ebay in like 2012 or so. She asked me to help take pictures of it and to list it for her so I drove it briefly and I was shocked at how much it rattled and let in air noise on the freeway despite the low mileage. That being said, my father owns a 24v '99 auto 2wd and that truck is absolutely night and day compared to the first gen and has never given up (minus 1 issue with the TPS) in the 20 years hes owned it. He loves to joke around that he is going to die before the truck does. I would get an identical one in a heartbeat but I can't bring myself to paying (and cant afford to pay) 15k for a 20 year old truck.
