Hi Folks

I'm restoring a '71 Demon as per my build sheet. I've seen many different hood treatments on these cars with different paint patterns, scoop trim, hood pins etc. Can anyone give me a definitive description of a J54 hood option for '71. Perhaps a member has a survivor out there!

Thanks for the heads up. I've seen these hoods with black scoop trim, chrome scoop trim, chrome 340 emblems, no 340 emblems and the "written" Dodge emblems on the leading hood edge in the center, and no Dodge emblems........Makes your head spin!!

BTW.....My car has a 4-71 build date if that matters?

I have a 71 Demon with the Sport Hood Package. Let me know if you still need help, JC
 
Thanks JC, that would be awesome. Seen many different layouts with chrome vs black trim, 340 emblems vs no 340 emblems, and the scripted "Dodge" in the center of the hood etc, etc,etc. Regards.
 
painted body color hood = chrome bezels
black out hood option = blacked out bezels.

no emblems on scoops, thats a dart thing
scripted "dodge in the center is 70 Dart.
 
Thanks Chris I appreciate the info. I have both sets of bezels and the emblems. I like the 340 emblems, but I am trying to restore this car to the build sheet. Take Care.
