Anybody ever "DIY" your own slant to SB engine mounts?

Last mounts I made for a mini truck were ghetto but worked great. Solid mounts in a drag truck: We hung the motor where we thought it would line up and put some jacks under it so it would fall on us when we were under there. My buddy took a big lump of clay and molded it to the existing V8 mounts and the truck motor mounts. They were not that far off but not even close to being the same distance for and aft. With the clay impression, we welded up a big extension so it would physically bolt into the frame holes and the motor mount brackets. After we gave it a trial fit, we then braced the sheetmetal mounts up. Turned out functional considering we were 17 and didnt know how to stick weld. IIRC it was a 302 in a Mazda/Courier.
