I think this dog hates me

Little sister brought home an Aussie puppy much to the surprise of the parental units. Chewy he was named after the large hairy creature in the then new movie Star Wars. Little did we know how appropriately he was named.

After We got back from delivering the differential housing . The puppy was in the back yard cry and yelping.. So I go running.

There he was with one of my shoes. He already ate the left from one pair and the right from the other pair. I was wearing a miss match set in the garage. Now he killed them too.

He looks so cute .Here is is at 7 weeks. My wife has had it. He drug the hamper of cloths out had the carpet runner half way out the dog door. Sitting in the kitchen sink looking out the front window muddy paw prints everywhere. Australian Shepard.

Sounds like a typical puppy. The few Australian Shepards I have been around, that were adults, were like velcro. Once they got to know me every time they saw me I had a shadow for the entire time I was at the owners place. Patience Sir....and perhaps a bit of training.....goes along ways...Good Luck

Here is our newer guy - he is almost 6 months old (not sure actual age, the litter was abandon before we rescued him back in mid-November). He likes to collect socks and underwear. And if they are available, herd small dogs. Thankfully he only bites me

Looks like a Cattle Dog. The herding thing is in his blood. Last Cattle Dog we had was a nipper. My wife grew tired of it very quickly...Queenie went to bite Ernestina one day and got 2 fingers down her throat...never nipped at anybody again.

This was Luke. He and his brother were dropped off in the country near a friend of mine who took them in and brought them back to health before finding them a new home. Best dog I ever had but not without issues from his early life.

My Sheltie Jake would tear things up whenever we left him alone, Hell he ate his 6 foot long nylon leash and gave it back a month later on the bedroom floor complete with pieces of plastic and rubber bands. We bought the "Turd" a big travel kennel and he loved it. Would go into it on his own if he saw you were leaving the house and wait for me to come and latch the door. It was his security blanket. If you haven't already try that Oldman.
