howdy y'all, I was on here many years ago and just now got back on here. I have a 72 Richard petty blue Plymouth Duster that I've had for 13 years and got started finding time to build it. It is an original 225 slant but changing it out for a street built 360 bored.040 over with all kinds of goodies. Hope to find some centex mopar folks on here. Too many stangs, bowties and rice burners running the streets of Ft. Hood/Temple/Waco area. And I have a lot of DIY questions to ask. Glad to be back on here.

Thanks Jon

Welcome to FABO from another blue 72 Duster owner from PA, mine has a 340 4 speed, and has been in the family since 78.

Welcome from another 72 Duster owner down 35 in Georgetown!

Welcome!

My daily driver when I was building up my '65 Valiant bracket racer was a '63 Pontiac Grand Prix I purchased for $100.00

Circa 1974, I painted the Pontiac myself during my Body & Fender classes at community college. I wanted to add a clear coat with gold pearl, so I chose a solid blue color from a paint chip book at the local Dupont jobber. I might be mistaken, but looking back on it, I may have chosen Petty Blue without even realizing it. What do you think?

That's a beautiful car!! $100? Could you imagine what that car would go for now!! It took me 8 months to find someone that knew what Richard petty blue was, they kept saying hemi blue was the closest they could get. Then I finally found a mopar nut that knew exactly what I was looking for. Lol

A few from yesterday's show at the Georgetown airport to get you psyched to finish it.

The blue 68 GTX was actually my favorite!

...and a couple 72's from the last San Antonio Mopar Club show...
