WIW - 1967 Barracuda 383 4 speed car

Agree for the most part, with the exception of a few badass FB mustangs, of course, they are also ultra spendy.

I was always a B-body guy but the insane prices turned me off to mopars almost altogether.

Then one day at the body shop i worked at we built a really nice 66 FB Mustang. We put a stout 302 stroker in it and installed a Tremec 5 speed. We managed to get the 5 speed mounted by drilling out the existing cross member support bracket, relocating it and massaging the tunnel with a little heat and hammering and it came out really nice and almost stock looking. It seemed like such a fun little car that it got me thinking hard about A-body Barracudas. I was always a mopar guy and that 66 ferd helped remind me that all wasn't lost in mopar land!

Ford never had much street cred. Their engineers were too busy grinding camshafts with retarded camshaft timing. They were slugs in comparison to what they could have been. Some had good styling, sure, but they were slow. Gimmie a fresh 68 383 4 speed Road Runner with a 4.10 sure grip and I bet I could outrun "just about" every car in the muscle car era.
