Just bought a one owner '66 out of a pasture. I know nothing about these, parts availability or anything. I just really like the look of it and wanted it, and the price was just right for my inner cheap skate, so I own it. Hasn't run under its own power in quite some time, owners son (who sold it to me) states he thought it was parked due to a bent pushrod but wasnt sure. Clear title. Rocker under the passenger door is dented from it being moved but no other body damage.

Joined up here so I could try and learn about this, what parts are NLA or one year only, and where I should go for parts. Not my first old car out of a pasture, but definitely my first one of these.

Anywhoo, howdy from Texas!

Welcome!
You’ve found the right place for info and support.
In general most of what’s needed to keep a ‘66 Valiant running is readily available. But the body and exterior trim is a one year only model and if something is needed it may take some time to obtain what you need.

Nice find. Fellow 66er here. 66 Valiant 100 was my very first car. 3 on the tree and white with red interior. Lots of good info and parts on FABO!!!

Ask away, we love to converse about anything and everything Mopar. And welcome to fabo, glad to have you with us!

Welcome from northeast Arkansas, these 66 sedans are tuff, that 225 is a good engine, I bet you can pull the valve cover and put a good battery on it and spin the engine and see if a rocker, is not moving.
I would bet it will be running in no time.
Love my 66, but it came with a 170 slant 6.
I am going V8 after 7 fun years as a daily driver
Enjoy this fun site and jump in and enjoy
On thing you may not know is there are left hand and right hand lug nuts on these cars, so be careful

Welcome, from a fellow 66 Val owner. I have two of these, the good one is my dead stock three on the tree slant, the other is a parts car, same year, same color, but an auto hit hard in the rear. Everything behind the back window is junk, otherwise it's a treasure trove of parts. Ask away for questions, we are here to help.

Thank you. I did not know that!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I know less than nothing, so please bear with me as I ask stupid questions.

Welcome, nice find. I wish we could find them up here in that condition.

But, to spare you the pain and agony I would be willing to take that off your hands. :D

Thanks everyone! I had been waiting on the rain to be gone a couple days so I could get in the pasture and extract it. Should be in my possession by Wednesday and I can put up a build thread (if thats the preferred method). I'll try to read and search before I ask questions, but man Im gonna have plenty!

Welcome! Nice find! Looks like you got it just in time as rockers appear only inches from the ground and then the "rust gods" would of worked their evil upon her!
