Who here collects vintage and/or custom pocket knives
I grew up with pocket knives. Loved all the vintage ones. Case, Queen, Bulldog, K-bar, Winchester etc. I remember reading Blade magazine and looking at all the cool custom knives. One thing I didn’t see much of was custom folding pocket knives. If I did they were usually single bladed or lockbacks. My Dad handmakes folders primarily. He’s never been into selling them much. Every once in a while he would make special ones for co-workers or friends. Of course I have acquired a few of his creations over the years. He’s retired now and knife making keeps him busy. I’m not sure this is the right place to post this kinda thing (cars and knives seem like peas and carrots to me) and wondering if there would be any interest from FABO members for a custom pocket knife. Logos, names, images can be etched into the blades. Handle material of choice. My dad would never try to advertise his work so I’m gauging interest and in return might keep him busy in his retirement years.
