Got a call from the body shop looks like it is being delivered in a week. It has been just under a year. In that time I moved a thousand miles away and have been trusting the shop with my car. My dad is the original owner of this car. I have been waiting for this day for a very long time. Here is what I got so far.

It is getting painted as I type this. TT1 green. You can see the original color in the engine bay. It will look nice I hope. I can't wait to start putting it back together.

That'll look sweet when it's done. I like that color better than the red mine came from the factory wearing ( and the same color I'm putting back on ). keep us posted on your progress... It helps to motivate the slow pokes like me.

Car looks awesome!! Keep us updated with more pics!!! When its done it will be well worth the wait!

I guess he had to do one more coat of primer, then it is back to paint booth for baby poop green.

It looks like a good resting place for the color to me.:thumrigh:

The fires here in San Diego hace postponed the delivery of my car but it gives the body shop more time to do things right. Paint is going on. Got to love the baby poop green.

Thank god some of the worst is behind us, but theres still more houses burning daily. My work is still closed.

what body shop did you decide on?

I have 25 pages in my FOTKI album documenting my car's restoration. And I'm not done....

Hang in there. Aside from the tragic fires you guys are experiencing, let them take their time. You don't want a rush job. When it's done your going to be sooo pumped up. Trust me, I know. :glasses8:

Well it has been about 12 years since I last posted about the car. It's been a very slow process of getting it back on the road. My dad took over the restoration in 2004. It was his car originally so he was excited i got the ball rolling. It sat in his garage in Northern California for 14 years. He tinkered on it a bit, mostly just taking stuff apart and forgetting to label things. He purchased a ton of new things for the interior and exterior mostly just shiny stuff. It sat in the garage stripped of all interior, Well fast forward 14 years and car is back in my possession. My dad passed away two years ago. One of the last things he told was to finish the Barracuda. I had to get the car running so i could tow it to my place. My truck was loaded with parts and I towed it down south. So its has made its way down to San Diego and is currently my summer project to get it all back together.
The parts have been moved several times and my dad was very good at being organized. So many many parts are not labeled or missing. He bought stuff too that doesn't have labels either. i might have to post a few pics on here to get some help.

My condolences on Dads passing. My dad and I picked up(dads treat) a 67 fastback in 2012. We were able to enjoy dads last 2 years alive working on it, riding in it and bs'ing to each other.
Glad ya posted back here. Keep at it and ask away.
Again our condolences
