And not mentioned in the OP, but the FSM offered almost NOTHING on how to do this.

You dont see the drilled access holes behind the door panels, so who cares. I'd drill the access holes in a heartbeat to save myself the hassle of pulling the whole thing out along with the regulator, and cutting the **** out of myself on sharp sheetmetal edges just to change out a motor.
