Metal finish on 68/69 woodgrain steering wheel

Thank you Bryan! Did you restore yours yourself or have it done. I'm also wondering how to get the grain look back in the plastic on the rim. I bought a wood grain wheel awhile back that I decided not to use on my car because my interior is all black. It has a light brushed grain in the spokes and looks like the wheel could be NOS, I say that because the grain on the rim is in as new condition. Not sure if I have ever noticed it on another rim.
I was able to clean up spokes w/o changing finish. On the wheel I used JB weld to fill in cracks and put leather wrap on it. I am going to do the same for my 1967 wood grain wheel as the spokes are like new but the plastic wheel is terrible. I will fill in bad areas with epoxy and use silicone/leather wrap This is chrome on spoke and riveted pieces are chrome but looked maybe brushed.
This one I used epoxy for plastics Many U-tube videos on steering wheel repair Good luck!
