Back seat upholstery ideas

we are doing the interior in Jason’s project car now.

We have some very nice front seats that jive with our interior ideas.

But we need to have the back seat recovered to “jive” with our new front seats.

To add to the challenge, we’re also working on a 16 year olds budget. Lol.

The yellow tape line is one idea we have. Above the tape line will be the same red fabric as the top of the front seats. The 2” tape line would be the same material as the bottom of the seat, separated with a stitch line to tie into the front seats.

We are not planing on incorporating the checkered pattern in for the case of cost and simplicity.

We have to stay below $500 ABSOLUTELY TOPS.

All ideas are appreciated.

I have gotten seat covers and used hog rings to attach it basically just like the original cover.
That gives you more aesthetic choices and they look good nice and tight over the original seat.
