I could have bought one in 1976 for $400.00 and I passed. Back then there was so many cars I could have had for next to nothing it is so sad, I passed on a 1969 Cougar Eliminator 428 CJ 4 speed for $1000, well because my insurance co would not insure me. Then there was a 70 428 Mustang GT500 Convertible with a factory roll bar. That was when I bought my 70 AAR TX9 Black with black interior and a 4 speed. I had it till 2008. The baddest car I ever had, I changed the engine to a 68 340 put on a mechanical 6 pack and a .572 296 MP cam and it rocked and rolled.
Hope you find one, I still kick myself for not buying the one in 76 I didn't care for the Fords but they were cool cars.
