318 alminum intake?

Imo, SP2P’s are junk...... for any application.

It would be fun to dyno one against an oe intake and a performer on a suitable motor though.

15 years ago or so I dynoed my friends oval port 396bbc that had one on it.
I had driven the car before, and it was just a hound. Absolutely dead at 4500rpm........ and pretty weak up to that point as well.
A local “396 guru” had given him a 400hp recipe....... and the SP2P was part of it.
He wasn’t happy with it, so he pulled it out and we put it on the dyno.
He was running ex manifolds, so that’s how we tested it.
I don’t recall the tq(which wasnt much), but it was 283hp.
Put some small tube headers on it, picked up about 30hp.

Changed the cam and added a Performer rpm, replaced the Ede 750 with a speed demon 650dp, re-ran with the headers....... 420hp at about 6000.
He decided the manifolds cost too much power, so he put headers on the car.
That wasn’t part of the plan when I got the new cam, I got the cam to work with manifolds.
Had I known it was going to get headers, I think there was at least another 20hp left in the cam choice.
But all of that is way off topic.
