1972 Scamp to 1970-71 Dart Marker light conversion?

As the subject line would suggest, I have a '72 Scamp and some '70-'71 Dart marker lights I'd like to use instead of the surface mount markers.

Reason/background: @moparmat2000 did a solid for me and helped pull a pair of quarters off a '71 Scamp for my '72 because mine are rotten and crappy...he also provided a set of '71 rear markers to go in the '71 quarters. After some thought, I discovered I prefer the flush mounts to the surface mounts so I started looking for a matching set or front markers. I couldn't find a set for a '71 Scamp/Duster that weren't ridiculously priced or complete so I found a set of 70-71 Dart markers.

So, what are the ways I can go about this? What are the pros/cons of the varying methods?

I figure I can either:
A: look for the pieces out of a '70-71 Dart/Demon and splice them into my fenders, but finding one where the fenders are even there let alone in good enough shape to pirate is probably unlikely, this leads me to option B...

B: Mark off/cut out, and flange/joggle the holes to accept the markers. To that end, I have a pneumatic flanging tool, but I don't know if it will actually provide the correct inset. If I need a different flanging tool, which one would work well for that purpose?

Anyone whose done this, I'd like to see photos, ya know...pictures...thousand words and all that jazz...
