Getting the trailer dug out so I can bring it to the shop.

Checked the oil when I got home from work, and there was water in it. Craptastic. Hopefully, it's just a head gasket. This will provide me some serious motivation to put on my airgap intake and 302 heads.

On a good note, my rocker arm hold down kit from Hughes was waiting for me when I stepped in the door.

Stripped the 8-3/4. 3 rounds of oven cleaner from the 99 cent store. Scrubbed with dawn, hosed off and some rustez spray until I can prep for paint.

Modified the bell crank bracket for the kickdown to clear the tti exhaust pipes per their instructions.

Removed the gas tank and rear bumper

Scrubbed, cleaned and wire wheeled all the brake hardware. Wheel cylinders broken down and cleaned. Most of the brake components must have been fairly new. Shoes didn’t look good. Heat stress cracks. Drums looked okay but may just get new ones.

Got the electronic ignition wired up and ECU mounted in a good place I think. Came out looking pretty clean. Got a throttle cable that actually works. Best thing of all, back on all fours with new shoes. Still need to finish up the Hellwig sway bar. Tti head pipes can go in now that I have the T-bars in. These 1.03” bars and Bilstein shocks made a big difference. Front end stiffened up a lot. Those .85” bars were shot.

Looking very nice. Do you happen to know what coating that is on your exhaust manifold. Like that color.

set the pinion angle (trans down 1 rear down 2). centered tires in wheel wells. checked tire pressures, brakes, bearings in car trailer. Removed scotch locks from left taillight .

Wired up gauges to dash dimmer. Bought a Bluetooth adapter for the new stereo. Should have bought one with it built in.

Wanted to warm up the car. It's -7. got outside and the garage door wouldn't shut from exhaust interfering with the door sensors. Wile turning the car around the throttle stuck. panicked and threw it in neutral (bush league. should have instantly went for the key) threw it back in gear to get the rpms down. sent the rear end/driveshaft into the floor.:steering:

I finally have a day off tomorrow after working 6 days straight (72 hours) and I got my sanding rolls in the mail today from @4spdragtop so tomorrow time to get back to work on my heads! I have a long honey do list but its gonna have to wait I have to get this engine to the machinist asap!
Ps thanks again 4spdragtop!!

Ok I will post pics tomorrow. I got mine from Ebay they where 8 bucks each.

Car today , nothing, it`s 21 degrees outside and just got thru snowing, wind is blowing pretty hard too .
Supposed to get colder next few days, will have to let the dogs in next 2-3 nights , usually let them in when it gets below 20----

Its pouring rain and flooding again today here. But luckily my engine is inside. And I have heat! If it wasnt for that I wouldn't have gotten anything done this winter this has been the weirdest nastiest winter I've ever remembered. We haven't had alot of snow we have only had two significant snows and neither one of them was on the ground more than a few days. It's all the rain we haven't had more than 2 or 3 straight days without rain all winter long every creek steam and river is flooded my backyard has flooded, it flooded now actually.

Holy ****!

I got some more porting done to my heads and got the valve guides cut on one side. I'm almost satisfied with the exhaust side on this one head I'm gonna gasket match the intake side and move to the other head tomorrow.
