Ok, so I just bought a new Carb from a big parts warehouse, and I'm kind of disappointed. I noticed that box was already opened at some point. One of the idle mixture screws was turned in some, and there were a couple sticky areas on the bottom. It looks new, but I'm kind of pissed because I paid a lot of money. Would you guys keep it or send it back?

Depends how hard that carb is to come by. If it's the only on on the planet you had better keep it. If it's a fairly common 2 barrel send it back if they have another one. I would talk to them first. If you install it you may not be able to return it. What are you working on? We have a few good carb guys here that could rebuild yours.

Ya if it's from Jegs or Summit or the like, by all means send it back. They are usually real good about returns.

It doesn't matter who you bought it from. Why are you asking for advice ? Would ask your neighbor if you should take back the milk you just bought that was opened ?? Really !!! Make the call to them, act civil and let their service dept. take care of you.

Wow! called Summit and received excellent customer service. They are going to pick up the old one at my door, and they sent me another one right away-nice

Excellent! Weird that it was an open box. Perhaps a mix up. Let it slide.

That's what you get for doing business with Summit. I keep trying to tell people but they won't listen. They have fantastic customer service.

It's a new AVS2. Not cheap you know
Send it back. I've got one, and I've helped talk several others on here into buying one. I wouldn't have it if anyone else had been screwing around with it. They are pretty good right out of the box. All I had to adjust was the idle on mine.

You'll like it! Everyone else I've talked to that has one does. It's a game changer when it comes to start up and throttle response.
