I just saw this intake on line. I have the same intake. It has the larger 340 style ports and is an exact replica of the original Cast intake as far as having all the bosses in the same locations.
I kept it to use on the Demon. I thought Aluminum would make up the difference of the AC pump.
This is the first one I have taken notice of. I read somewhere that it took the place of the LD340.
Does anyone know when they made these and are they still available? there is not any numbers . MOPAR is casted in

I think might have that intake on my 340

They are a nice intake. I put 1 on my old 72. 340 swinger and gained 1/10 in the quarter mile. I needed to run an adaptor plate to use myTQ carb.

Had the 284/484 cam and Casler headers. As far as I know it is still on the car. It has been sitting inside under a tarp ever since I sold the car long ago. Kim

They are basically a copy of the early 340 manifolds. They perform really well. Next step up is a Weiand Stealth or RPM.

I have a Weiand on this motor . It is a stock 318 with a 600 carter. It works great . instant throttle responce. The motor is a 1973 34K 318. single point.

I painted it orange to look more original. The ports were much larger than the 318 heads but it doesn't seem to affect the performance at all .

No coil bosses or choke well. I had to use a manual choke.

Thanks for the info. I sort of like the mopar intake. It lets you use all the original parts on it. I wish I would have used it now instead of the Weiand due to the choke well

The casting number underneath is not the correct Mopar Performance part number.

The correct Mopar Part number is P4529116.

They stopped making this intake in 2002.

I ordered one in early 2003 and a superceded part arrived looking like the one in the picture below, so I returned it.

I bought a NOS original design one on eBay.

I love it, WAY lighter than the cast iron 68-69 intake but looks perfectly stock when painted up engine colour.

That is what I want to do. Use it on a 70 Duster motor I have

Gonna go for that beauty of an intake?

Jumping the gun now are we?
LMAO!
I have a intake that is like this. I thought it would be alright . When painted it would look factory and the original carb with the choke will fit. I am going to remove the casted mopar. Then blast the area hard so you don't see where it was before painting.

I have that intake on the 360 currently in my Duster. Haven't driven my car with it yet but this engine was previously in a 66 rambler gasser. It went really well in that car.

I think I should get something for starting the thread. $$$. I brought you all together. True Love we can see it. LOL

How about my undying gratitude? :thankyou:
Once, I got jobbed out of a fairly large finder's fee. Now, I'll only pay one if agreed upon in advance, in writing!

Gratitude isn't working here. Today we are sharing a ketchup packet with our crackers. Its like Thanksgiving in March. I am sure there is one thing we can agree on. Intakes Suck!
