PST steering boxes

I bought the 16:1 manual box, and did not check it as closely as I should have before putting it in the car. The unit was set up so tight It required two hands to get it off of center once off center not too bad. I needed to Clearance about a 32nd of an inch off of the casting to clear the headers. When I called pst they said if you adjust the unit you void the warranty. If you modify the unit you void the warranty. NO Iwould NOT buy from pst again.

What headers?

I can understand them voiding the warranty for grinding on the box. You modify it, you own it.

Voiding the warranty for an adjustment seems kinda lame, especially if it wasn’t adjusted properly to begin with. But looking at it from their side, if you adjust it incorrectly it will cause abnormal wear. So I see where they have a point. I suppose the right way to do it would have been to inspect it first, that way you could have sent it back when you discovered it wasn’t adjusted correctly as shipped.
