Trick Flow heads

Did you hit that pan and it tore there?

I see scuff marks and I know you like to drive.

If I'm spending money on a pan it will say kevco on it.
No I haven't scraped it or anything it just gets weird Reflections when you throw your flash up there trying to take pictures.

Cutting to fit for that pan has been a known issue for about 15+ years.

The fact it leaks OOTB from bad manufacturing processes is the bigger issue!
Summit gave me a discount and milodon said I could send it in and they would send me a new one but you know how that goes. They get it inspected and tell me it wasn't their fault and I'm out my oil pan for a month-and-a-half and then I have to glue on that pile of crap again. It's working now and doesn't leak...

No problems with tje Kevco pan & pickup so far. Fit is great with 1 7/8 TTI race headers.

I agree with you about the bigger issue and as members here I'm not sure why there isn't a sticky letting people know what the pitfalls of this pan will do on the Race part of the forum? Unless you happen to live where there's a hen's tooth machine shop that does only Mopar stuff and puts the tin on and installs it I reckon the 15-year knowing about these things have been problematic kind of Falls in to a short list of peoples hands? Like what happened to 15 years ago? And even a bigger question is if this has been going on for 15 years why haven't they simply taking the complaints and modified that corner of the pan? It seems to be a lot of big issues... It almost would be nice to lobby for a sticky that points out all these aftermarket parts with their little trick issues?
maybe something like "aftermarket parts and their issues" in the Race part of the Forum? Maybe something on the first post of the thread being able to be modified each time some thing new is brought up and which post it starts at? We all know that once we start customizing there always seems to be three other things we have to do to make it work. Like when you put an electric water pump on you now need a smaller belt to go just to the alternator from the crank. But now the crank is running the alternator too fast and it throws the belt because the belt is not triangulated. Now you have to spend money on a custom pulley thats smaller and doesn't rotate it so fast and make the belt fly off. One of probably 50 examples of things that I've had to make adjustments for..?

I have a milodon pan on one of my dusters got in 97 it has no corner mods and I have the same pan on my other duster that was got in 2008 that has that corner cut off and fit without cutting the k. could your pan maybe an older version ? I will get my wife to post a pic later on .

It could be an older version but I bought it new from Summit in 2014 or 2015. I know my K frame came from a 68 Barracuda.

Also I'm not saying there's milodon pans that won't fit I'm just saying this one doesn't correctly in my opinion.

How about I watch a thread on trick flow heads hoping to get information on them and every time I get a notification and take the time to read it someone is completely off topic talking about oil pans. I have a novel idea how about starting a thread on milodon oil pan issues

They might be out at the end of March Maybe...

^^^but I'm sure you caught that in the first three post when this was posted in the big block part of the Forum LOL

Also major shocker that a thread went off track..
If the moderators deem this terrible they'll clean it up..

My bust for posting this thread in the big block section. I apologize to all the sensitive members I've offended. It was late and I wanted to put the word out. Paul.

It's all good.... One thing for sure is there's a bunch of hype with these things... Sounds like these heads will put your small block mopar into supersonic mode... If not, there will be a ton of bashing threads about em'.... Should be interesting....

If they are anything like their 190cc small block ford head then they will be really good. IMHO the big block head has far surpassed the hype. I will be buying a set right away and I imagine if they sell really well there will be a 220 version soon after and that will be the game changer but only if they can manage to use stock intake exhaust and rockers.
