I am trying to figure out a temporary passenger side mirror for my 67 Dart. I would like to tow my teardrop camper a few times. I have a 70s style temporary fender mount tow mirror, but the arms hit the ridge of the fender. I have thought of rigging a backup camera but am not sure if how long it would last being on all the time. I only have the factory drivers side mirror and don't want to add a permanent passenger mirror. Ideas thoughts suggestions.

After reading your post I looked up temporary mirrors on Camping World's site and they have a door mount that looks like it has good reviews. Just a thought.

You can't mount it on the door? The ones I had hooked between the window and door, had a rubber pad to contact the door down below, with a hook under the door edge on a "winch" strap. If you are worried about the hooks at the window/ lower door you could plastikote them, etc

I would consider a camera, but you still have to mount it.
I put one on my truck,$79 for a cheap one.
Display was too small, and hard to see on bright days.
The camera fogged up and i had to take it apart and seal it.
It was handy,i switched it on for plowing snow and was great.
Lasted 3 years.
I have yet to replace it,when i do it will have a larger display.

They need a 12 volt supply to camera, and monitor also,And camera feeds a signal wirelessly to monitor. Mount on front right corner of trailer and connect to
Any continous 12volt source on trailer. Park light would be my choice.

Why bother? You just need to see the traffic to the sides of the trailer. With a teardrop trailer you should be able to almost see behind the trailer.

Teardrop is only 4 foot wide, so I don't need anything to big, just to be able to see down right side. The temporary tow mirror I have has 2 tabs that go under the hood and a tube with a hook that hooks on the wheel opening lip. When I try to tighten it down, the tubes pull down against my fender trim.

I put a stock right hand mirror on my 67 Dart, then stuck a convex mirror on it. works great for backing up, convex is the way to go, much wider view, especially blind side backing.
