hey guys, helping my buddy build a street strip truck,’86 f150 2wd, and wondered what you guys thought for a converter, engine is about finished:
429 ford
.030 over the flat tops 10.2:1 measured
Stock rods arp bolts, stock crank all balanced
Ported dove iron heads 2.19 1.74 valves
Victor intake, no carb yet
Lunati 650 solid roller 252/260@.050
C6 rmvb
8.8 w/spool (4.10 or 4.30 gear/tire undecided) caltracs
Going on a diet, shooting for under 4000lb

Ask as many people as you wish for opinions, but purchase by the converter manufacturer recommendation based on the details of the vehicle.

The people I talked to were ati and Conan lol, always best to go right to the source!... also nice to hear personal experiences as well
