Yep, should have looked closer before install. But if you put one wrench to tha adjustments they say voids all warranty. This was completely septrate from the casting clearance issue.
You are more that welcome to adjust the box, but any cutting or modifying of the box would void the warranty. The adjustment is there for that reason and adjusting can be necessary over time as with any steering box. If that was not made clear by our customer service than I apologize if there was a misunderstanding in that respect.
If there is an issue with a product we do have our in house machine shop and rebuilding service go through the item to verify if there was an issue. We do make some of our products and others we work with trusted manufacturers to make them using blue prints and samples that we provide. All products go through a stringent QC process prior to being put in the shelf. Our 16:1 is one of our most popular boxes. We have sold 233 of these units since putting them into our product line.
