Vapor return setup with 1970 "Evap Control System"?

I got a fuel filter with a vapor return fitting (intentionally, would like to reduce fuel boiling) and did some searching around here about how to make it work, my car does have a return line to the tank which is kind-of a vent as I have the briefly-used (pre-charcoal canister) ECS emissions control on my sold-in-California 1970 Duster. Should I add another vent somewhere based on the diagram below? This is straight from my 1970 Plymouth FSM...
