265 hemi straight six

Yep, agreed, But as I said "Some" as in the Distant past I'd mated up a Torque flight to a Hemi 6. Maybe No Slant bellhousings bolted up in Australia, but in NZ the late Slants did, just before the new 245 was released ( Something to do with a delay in Component supply )...Go Ask a Brazilian too , as an aside. AU wasn't the center of the world when it came to /6's, Hemi 6's & various trans & bell housing.
Cheers Digger.
When the Hemi 6 was launched in Australia, Chrysler advertised the new Hemi-Spherical head as the main feature of the new engine design as it was the easiest way to describe the engine as Australians new of the power of the US Hemi V8. It was just a marketing ploy & it worked. The engines were extremely powerful compared to what was available at the time. The track versions were real performers. a std 265 was no way as quick as a std 340 & was never meant to be.I had both back in the day & my right foot still remembers both of them quit well. That is why I'm spending a small fortune rebuilding a modified 340 6pack at the moment instead of a 265, I want the best of both worlds. You guys seam to be tearing your selves apart over a 40 year old advertising ploy from smooth a Chrysler marketing team. As Slant 6 Dan said Blah Blah Blah.
