Clutch and brake peddles not lined up

What are the pedals out of? Are they both from the same car?

I have trouble imagining a force great enough to bend one of those pedals.

As to the brake pedal height;
The first inch or so gets used up in closing the Compensating port.
Then the next 2 to maybe 3 inches get used up in normal braking.
Then you need another 2 to 3 for the emergency system to work, if one end suffers a catastrophic failure.
So, I'm gonna guess you need a minimum of 5 inches of travel, to perhaps as much as 7; I've never actually measured mine.

As to the clutch pedal height;
The first inch or so gets used up in freeplay and slack.
Then, depending on your clutch type,and linkage application, you need 2 or 3 inches to generate adequate clutch departure. So this pedal only needs about 3 to 4 inches, to get the job done. You only need to press it down far enough to allow a non-clashing reverse engagement. After the car is moving, it requires even less pedal to allow any forward shifts.

I think my clutch pedal is actually a tad higher...... but I just can't recall,for sure, lol.
