I purchased a Fitech system with the in line fuel pump for my 74 dart sport. It says to mount it as close to the tank as possible, and below the plane of the tank. Thus is pretty standard from what I have heard but I don't see a good spot to mount it. Where have you guys mounted yours at? Pictures are greatly appreciated!

On the passengers frame rail just ahead of the frame where is goes over the axle. Then ran the lines up to the top and then over to the tank.

On the frame rail right behind the axle.
Tell me a place lower than the tank that is close to the tank.

I used about 2 inches of radiator hose, put two bolts through from the inside and bolted that to the frame rail.
Then mounted the pump to the other side of it making a big oval of rubber to isolate the pump from the car metal.
It makes for a very quiet pump.

I went over the tank with the fuel line, there was a gap kind of along the top/side of the tank to push the line through and mounted the pump behind the tank. Dropped the pump down with some spacers and got it to the bottom lever of the tank. Sorry, no pictures..
Like TrailBeast said, insulate the pump, think you'll be surprised how loud it is if you are using the FiTech pump kit..

I went on the inside of the frame rail, pretty close to the rear bumper, not quite below the tank, but not a whole lot above. My dual fuel outlets are on the back lower corners of a stock new tank. THEY BOTH HAVE 1/2" INLINE FILTERS ON THEM, AND DOES GRAVITY DRAIN TO THE PUMP. ----------disregard caps.

Mounted mine on the inside frame rail just forward of the axle centerline.

Ever lost a driveshaft on the top end ? Not pretty under there !!

Fuel lines go outboard in front of the pump so not too worried. More concerned about something getting kicked up by the tires and hitting the lines/pump behind them.

For those running the Fitech kit, Did you use the -8AN line supplied? If so 3/8" or 1/2" sending unit? The instructions show 3/8" but everything I've seen shows -8AN is equivalent to 1/2"

I installed mine with the -8AN line and went with a 1/2 sender. Figured if I was buying a new sender anyways (was only 5/16) I'd go with the larger one. Still use the fuel line even though I went in-tank pump.
I have the like new sender still. Pm me if interested.
