What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

-
Well, I've been at my new house about a week now....haven't had a chance to drive the Barracuda .....

Tomorrow morning I'm taking her out dancing!

Just got back from a nice morning drive!
If you close your eyes and say "patoto" 5 times, you'll hear the sweet idle of my Cuda. ...!

Winter monsoon in indy today.
Found this pic from last June 13, the day my car was delivered. Man, I can't wait for summer

Just wrapped up an oil change on the engine. And getting ready to pull my 904 out so I can start my A500/42RH swap!

And still shopping for a trans. Plenty of 42RE's out there but the RH is a little harder to find.

Try Chris Andrews from Andrews racing transmission. He might have one (720) 939-0183

Was planning on forming the rear brake lines on the Duster. But after seeing this when removing the old lines my plans changed. Not way I was gonna lay new lines over this.

Scraped a ton of junk off the housing...40+ years of dirt, oil and at some point in it's life, red paint. This was the first of three "batches"

Decided to strip it down to bare metal and re-paint it.

Got the 8-3/4 in today. New ESPO springs and new u-bolts. New wheel cylinders. Cleaned up e-brake cables. Rubber flex hose was too short. Will have to source a longer one. Brake shoes and hardware ready to go.

Got the RB mounts done and it's bolted into the car. Next step is modifying the inner fender for the headers.

Brakes shoes and drums are on.

Weird that the passenger side doesn’t have an adjusting lever like the drivers side. But this was how it was when I pulled it apart.

Drivers side

Passenger side. No self adjusting lever. Just a retaining spring and self adjusting screw.

It's not weird. It's wrong. Should have the same setup with the lever.
I'm pretty darn sure like 100% that there should be one there...

I agree. I was like WTF!!! Never seen this **** before. Must be a FORD thing I thought.

Now I just need the wire and self adjusting lever and the correct star adjuster for 10” drums.

Went to replace my burnt out 8’ Florecent lights with four 4’ led’s. Spent hours Saturday checking and rechecking the wiring. Tested good.
Talked to an electrician. Told me what to look for. Followed the wires to the light next to it and
Found this.

Now I have to wire them all back up. Disconnected everything just trying to get one to work.
Lucky it didn’t burn it down.
