Which timing chain cover?

A friend of mine is building a 1969 340 but he's using a 1972 cast crank and vibration damper. He ask me which TCC he should use 67-69 or 70 and up i told i would have to think about it,which one would be correct?

run whatever he wants, just remark the TDC on the balancer.
