Get a '73 or newer manual steering box, a lot of times the pitman arm is included. then you have 3 choices.
- buy the adapter and use the steering column you have
- lock a grip on your steering column and pound the shaft down to length
- change the column shaft to manual.
I've done 1 and 2. I've never changed my column to do this swap.
