If you go to slantsix.org and the electrical forum there is a sticky about the GM HEI. Member Trailbeast has a kit to install an 8 pin HEI too. Search on this site for HEI conversion too.
THIS is the best option for the money in my opinion.
It all plugs right in to the factory harness and even has a built in digital rev limiter AND the total timing limit plate for the distributor and matched hot coil for $219 @Joshua Suehs Call Don at 541-942-5920 and talk to him about it.
He's a great guy and knows his stuff.
