Has anyone installed a clutch safety switch to their pre-70 cars? I'm wondering if there is a factory bracket/switch from a later car that can be added with minimal modification.

Seems I need one iffin I want to run my 67 down the track at the local test n tune night.

Why on earth would they require that?

I dunno, but rules is rules.

Neutral Safety Switch
All vehicles must be equipped with an operational neutral safety switch. The neutral safety switch prevents the vehicle's starter from turning the engine over unless the transmission is in park or neutral (or unless the clutch pedal is depressed with a manual transmission).

I just installed one in my 69 Dart for a 3 step rev limiter.
I fabricated a bracket and used a brakelight switch. Wasnt too hard.

I just those mine in the trash.. Reminds me of the idiot stuff on the mower, won't start unless sitting in the seat, won't mow in reverse unless the switch is pointed at that!
