WHAT SHOCKS TO BUY: KYB VS Monroe VS Bilstein's

I went out to the warehouse and did a quick measurement:

55R082 Extended is roughly 15 1/2" and compressed is 10 3/4"

55R092 Extended is roughly 22 3/4" and compressed is 14 1/2"

Hope this helps.

hi james, i just purchased a quad set of bilstein shocks from p-s-t tonight. i hope the forum discount applies for me. i purchased them from your pstbay store as i couldnt purchase them from the pst website on the phone i was using for some reason. before i bought them i looked at the post regarding the forum discount and it says "internet purchases" to get the discount. I did buy them from the internet so i hope all will be good. and i did give the forum name and my user name in the message on ebay when i purchased them as you require.

i just measured the length of my shocks on a basically stock height setup. the front shocks measure approximately 13" at ride height and the rear measure 18" at ride height in the rear. when i get my car built i plan on lowering it a bit. i have hotchkis 1" lowering leafs for the back. also i havnt bought them yet but plan on using 1.14" torsion bars on the front so i can lower the front some also. my question i have is, are the bilsteins you sell ok for a lowered car or do you have separate part numbers on the shocks for a lowered car.

i have been following 72bluNblu's recomendations for what for what to buy for what i am trying to achieve. he talks highly of the rcd bilstein shocks. so i just wanted to know if i will run into any problems by lowering my ride height an inch up to an inch and a half.
