I'm cruising other threads, but here too

I'm here for you! You're my favorite leroy…
And my only leroy!
Be very afraid...

well I got into some warm water yesterday
Big thanks to j par.
I keep most of my BS to this thread. Try not to muck up other threads where discussing car stuff. Yet we talk more actual car info here sometimes than threads that start out asking serious questions. I did find myself in the middle ofahot spot ofmiscommunication the padt few days on 73 Gold Duster thread. Dude was from NZ and not making sense. Try to get him on track and he took it in the other direction. :BangHead:
Thoughtwe were going to have to call TMM for a cleanup in aisle 3. LOL Not sure if that one is over or not....
Power stering hose replaced. Under warranty. Lifetime warranty. Go figure. Customer says last summer,it was installed 2017. Its funny how people lose track.
Batteries is a big one. Customer says 1 year, when actually its 3 or 4. Im my years in parts and service, this is the most common.
Hey, are you talking about me? I'm guilty of seriously underestimating how long ago I installed stuff. So 10 years is more than 'a few"? LOL

Good Morning

It's Willys Wednesday!! Good morning.

That was fun! hour and a half in. to find a note on the doors that says closed for weather. Took a little longer to get back home, horizontal snow, cant see very far. They say this will be the better of the next two days.

Hey just because we drink coffee does not mean we dont know our ****!

I bought a "parts bike" from an auto salvage yard the other day. Any good ideas on how to restore these carburetors from all the oxidation and rust? I may need these for my CX500 some day...

You would think they would put out some notification? :wtf:
But then it seems my employer no longer shuts down for snow. No big penalty for not making it, but they stay open. Kinda interested to se just how bad it needs to be for them to close. Last couple storms a skeleton crew made it in and they just ran what they could. First bad storm this year I really tried to get in and roads were closed.
Hours on the road in storm unnecessarily. :BangHead:
If that bad, I won't do it next time. Especially since I no longer have AWD vehicle. Once last year I went in and got a text that they were closing when I was already there. :BangHead:

I heard vinegar works, havent tried it yet, been meaning too.
Vinegar is great for removing rust, but be careful what you use it on. Just cause it can be consumed, people think it is harmless. It's actually a pretty nasty acid in the wrong place. I recently asked about using it on bumper guards. From what I have read, it would likely destroy the chrome if left in long enough to remove the rust. However if I was going to replate them anyway, it could be a good way to start. Also steel will flash rust in a heartbeat after using vinegar, so need to do something to prevent that.

I was responding at the same time, I concur...
