So, I'm a bit new to this and having some trouble finding the right info to replace my Holley 1920 Carb. Please excuse any stupid questions in advance, and thanks for your help.

I have a 65 Valiant, slant 6 (but it originally had an an 8 in there).

The numbers on the top of the fuel bowl are:
(6)
3229 2S 0151
2658467

The stamped number on the side is:
12R-3106B

I'm having a hard time finding a replacement, especially because this isn't the original engine, and I'm a little unsure of what year the engine is (because the numbers there are a bit inconclusive). Does that even matter, or will any carb that works with my year car work with whatever slant 6 can fit in there?

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

The 3229 stamped number is the list number. That should be a 66-67 Dodge truck 225 auto carb.

That would probably work ok You could try your local auto parts store for a remanufactured carb for about half that price or rockauto at around 125.00

Or rebuild the one you have for even less money and a couple hours work.
Daytonaparts.com has quality parts and they know what they're talking about.

if you went from a V8 to a 6, you have a throttle cable and that carb is a rod throttle linkage. Not looking at a 1920, make sure your linkage is the same as on your old one. Rebuild is a better option if yours is complete IMHO.

Sorry, I'm confused. Are you saying that this is NOT a 1920? Because the unit itself says it is one. If that's not what you are saying, could you please clarify for me? Thanks

No, there are a few 1920 sub models. old Slants without A/C had a linkage that was a twisting rod in a box like linkage like first pic. The V8 and A/C models used a pull cable like a standard 4bbl carb like 2nd pic. Just make sure your carb you buy has the same linkage your using.

Ooh, thanks, that helps a bunch too.

I definitely have the one with the twisting rod.
