Yes, 64 Dart 270,

1600 cc VW block with the 1835 cc over bore cylinder kit with Hogged Out Ported stock heads, an aggressive Low End Torque Performance Cam . . it's a thumper . . , and 2 bbl Progressive Carb . . so it has a secondary to open up and play with for added power, and the header, external auxiliary oil cooler and add on oil filter really helps it to run cool on those hot days. Pushing around 100 horse power.

Also has good beef up parts in the drive line so things don't blow out, like the 280Z Drive Shaft conversion we adapted too it . . Super Strong, the stock vw CV joint style type drive shafts would always blow out for anyone that was using them.

And yes we built it light and strong so that it can climb high on the dunes from not being over weighted, .090" ths wall light tubing construction instead of the .125" ths heavy wall tubing. Makes a big difference on total weight of the buggy.

And Traction, my god that Buggy has traction with the engine hanging out over and beyond the rear wheels, along with the universal Desert Trac sand tires. Really hooks up in the snow good, also have a set of 15 inch wide Paddle Tires for running up the steep sand dunes at St. Anthony Dunes in Idaho.
