I have an 1967 HM block 327 sitting on an engine stand in the garage, I will get a pict and measure

The difference that I see is compared to the OP's picture is the tab is inverted to set at a wider circumference. And for the record i dont have a pony in this race

Can you please provide the measurement from the tab to center of the crank hole(radius)

Who said they were the same? There were lots of different diameters. All I said was that Chevy used the 8" balancer on a wide range of engines from 69-80 and that's a fact. The tabs for the 8" balancers also came attached different ways. Some, with the weld on tab facing toward the crankshaft, such as the OP's and some with the weld tab facing away from the crank. Both types were used for the 8" balancer. There was no rhyme or reason as to which you got. There are several just like the OP's on Ebay right now. They are also available as a new repop for like 49 bucks. This "discussion" never included any balancer prior to 1969, OR the later 305 balancers that were smaller in diameter and sorta "fat" looking. All "I" was speaking of were small blocks that used the 8" balancer.....and there were literally MILLIONS of them made and they all used similar timing covers that the OP is trying to sell.

PITA maybe, but maybe a mod could split this discussion from the for sale ad and create a discussion thread elsewhere as this seems to be a topic people want to discuss.
