Used TQ for a 72 340 Auto setup. Date code is 025th day of 1973. (Jan 25th, 1973) Condition is good. all linkage moves and the bowl does not appear to be cracked. I can not speak as to how it runs but recommend to consider it needing a rebuild.

Yeah it is supposed to be for a 72 340 auto. The odd thing is the build date lists a 1973 date so I believe it’s either mis dated or it’s a 6319s which is correct for a 73 340 auto. Let me know if your still interested.

I haven’t shipped to Canada before but I’m sure it’s not that difficult. Send me a location to ship to and I can research it.

Could it just be the 025th day of when the model year starts and the 3 might just be the 3rd shift, assembly bench #3, or something like that? Just a thought. I have a 6139SA carb that has 165 9. I know that the 9 certainly won't correspond to a 69 model year or even a 79 model year. Just my 2 cents FWIW.

Good point. I have always thought the date code was a 3 digit number for the day and the single digit was the year. from what you indicated a year code of 9 would be 69 or 79 which both don't add up for that model number. For that reason I go with the model number code which is correct for a 72 340 and it from everything I see it is an early 70's carb.
