Personally, I have never liked paint strippers. When there are multiple layers of paint, multiple applications are usually needed.
Care must be taken to keep off chrome, stainless and plastic parts. I use 40 grit hog paper on a thick flexible pad with a
buffer. Fairly low RPM and follow up with 80 grit on a DA. And don't forget the nasty residue that has to absolutely cleaned
up when using stripper and the toxicity of the product itself.
