Is that the term that you're looking for????
I've heard that but usually used in reference to when someone went out of business, IE Studebaker, AMC, etc

Red headed step child?Lots are interchangeable on 68 & 69 cause in 68 they changed the firewall, hood, (fenders I think) & windshields glass & steering column. Because the 67 stands alone, with no options for parts from other years, that make it a stand alone car... the term for that is wham trying to remember
Nope. A "one off" would be a "one of one". The only one like that made.Is it called a ONE OFF , or is there another term?
A cloneTheres a word that defines a vehicle that is basically an only child so to speak & I cant remember the term. Like clone, if I was describing a car that was a dart 270 dart & I tried to make it into a GT ... JUST CANT REMEMBER THE TERM.

I have a 67 barracuda. Its got all that one off weird 1 year only **** mentioned above too. I call mine a bastard child. I'm not too cool with the non latching glovebox or the one year only idler arm. When i can get a 67 glovebox door with a lock, i will. Already took care of idler arm issue with a 74 spool mount K. Got the 68-69 rubber and stainless window trims to ditch the cheezy chromed plastic lock strips. Added in a light package with illuminated key hole to the dash. Cant find decent lower door vents, so i may sheetmetal up the holes in the lower part of the doors.
Watch your plastics... I had some 3d Printed prototype parts in my car for a day and they twisted and warped all to hell.I may take the ones i have and get em scanned and 3D printed then.
Ok, I stand corrected, learn something new everydayI"ve had and seen woodgrain dash clusters and console on 67's....
That might be it, thanks"Orphan"???

Thank you, I didnt know all of those differences. Orphan is the word I was looking for.I've always known it as "one year only"
The idler arm setup bracket
Headlight buckets spacing
Tail light mounting size
Tail light assy
Rear bumper.........reverse lamps in bumper
No shoulder harness anchor
No dash VIN
No body VINs (Guess that applies to 68 as well)
No marker lights or reflectors
There is some oddity in the doors/ window regulators? I forget
the ignition switch/ switch mounting
Windshield/ rear glass gaskets and trim strips
orphan was the word I was looking for..Sweet ride.... that's what I call it!! Sit down, shut up, turn the key and be glad it's your ride. I would be...
Thanks,,, Orphan was the word I was looking for.Not a one year only body style, but has one year only parts, which can be said for almost any year.
An Orphan car is something like an AMC, Studebaker, Packard, etc. Thanks,,, Orphan was the word I was looking for.

Cars who's original manufactures no longer exist. Kinda like a kid whose parents have passed. AMC is the best example, in 1987 Chrysler bought up AMC to get to Jeep. They wound up with Renault and Eagle as well in the buyout. Chrysler serviced parts for them until supply was exhausted.
But your car is a 67 Dart, it's a nice Dart, I'd own it, but there is no special category other than antique.
