I have A 69 Dart 340 4 speed. Is there a difference in pedal assemblies? The previous owner has done a cob job on the push rod that goes from the clutch pedal to the Z-bar my pushrod is rubbing against the firewall I have ordered all new linkage bearings bushings adjuster rod fork boots I want to completely rebuild from the pedal assembly to the transmission but I just wanna make sure the pedal assembly itself is correct. Also, what connects my push rod to the Z bar? He has welded a bolt onto the Z-bar and double nutted the push rod to it. Thanks for any help.

Pedal assemblies, there are about three different ones. Most of them swing on bushings where the heavy duty ones (all big blocks) have bearings. The HD ones also have a "cage", an additional re-inforcer for the over-center spring. I believe that all three will inter-change. The rod that connects the pedals to the z-bar is a one-piece, non-adjustable piece that has a loop on each end and a bend in the middle. They are available new. All clutch adjustment is made down by the belhousing. Hope this gets you started.

Very helpful thank you. My assembly is the HD so I bought new bearings for that as well. I also purchased a new pushrod from Brewers but it is not bent in the middle it has a offset bend at the z bar end.
